The Lolita Lopez-Jesse Endowment Fund

A Lasting Investment in Community Health

Westside Family Healthcare’s Lolita Lopez-Jesse Endowment Fund is a special fund in honor of our former president and CEO, Lolita Lopez. From 1990 to 2023, Lolita led Westside’s growth from a two-exam-room health center on the west side of Wilmington to a community health system serving more than 25,000 Delawareans annually.

The Lolita Lopez-Jesse Endowment Fund is way to ensure the long-term sustainability and impact of our mission. These funds provide a steady, reliable source of income, allowing us to plan for the future with confidence and flexibility. An endowment empowers us to continue delivering essential healthcare services, invest in workforce development and expand our reach—regardless of economic fluctuations or short-term challenges. Your investment in our endowment fund doesn’t just support today’s needs; it helps create a stronger, healthier community for the future, ensuring that our vital services remain accessible to those who need them most, no matter what.

The Lolita Lopez-Jesse Endowment Fund is managed by the Delaware Community Foundation. It was established in 2010.
